Garage Sale Saga
This is the 3rd year for my spring garage sale. It is pretty much a kids clothing sale. It is a lot of work, to say the least. I started about about a month ago by making the kids try on all their potential spring and summer clothes and any fall and winter that may not fit next fall. Yesterday we carried, or threw down from the attic all the bags! Then we have to start collecting tables. (Thank you to everyone who contributed the use of their tables!) Then the hard work starts. I first split boy verses girl, then organize all the sweaters, jeans, slacks, sweatpants, sweatshirts, dresses, coats, shoes, and on and on...then neatly arrange and fold on tables, some even according to size, and even some according to color! (don't ask...it's just how I am) I have a lot of clothes....no not just 2-3 black garbage bags full. I have a lot of clothes....probably 20 black garbage bags full! If it has a spot or is questionable, I donate or throw away. This clothes is in really good shape. I will have my repeat customers back early in the morning on the first day...I usually make over 1/2 of my money in the first 3 hours...no joke! So, send anyone you know who is interested my way! Thursday 8-8 and Friday 8-5.
