All day again in the garage. I'm making serious headways! One more day and we will have it ready to go for bright and early Thursday morning. It would help if I had a washer right now to do a couple of loads of clothes that got pretty wrinkled in boxes and bags.
Now this is a story for you! We have a super capacity, front load washer that I love, but we have had a few problems with it. The last round of problems started Easter Saturday when Jenna came home with 3-4 loads for me to do in 24 hours. The rubber ring inside the door actually ripped on my first of her loads. I was done. I have the Master Protection Agreement with Sears and immediately called them. This is a very long story, but to make it short, they came last Tuesday to repair. I did one load, it broke again. They came out 2 days later, repaired again. Then, this last Saturday night, as I was trying to do Natalie's BB uniform at 10 at night so she could have by 8 the next morning, it broke again and boy did it break good!
We went into the laundry room and we had water all over the floor. The ring broke again and all the water from that load was now on my laundry room floor. It kept leaking even after we turned water to washer off, so I set the alarm twice to check it and change the big towels under the washer. What a pain!! The technician came yesterday morning and declared it unfixable!! Ya! I get a new washer. So we head to Sears in Piqua to pick out new one. The sooner I do that, the sooner I get to do laundry again! They do not make our model anymore, so we had some choices. The technician we had helping us swears by Kenmores. (And he would know!) He said to stay away from LG and anything else made overseas. Maytags and Kenmores are all made now by Whirlpool, so it makes decisions a little easier.
So, tomorrow morning, the current top of the line Kenmore Front Load Steam Washer is being delivered. Whoopee!! It does pay to be vocal. I won't go into the 6-7 hours of phone conversations that it took to get this thing replaced...I'm not joking! Oh, and I'm getting a brand new steam dryer too...so I can have a matched set. I am excited now to do the 10 loads that have been waiting patiently for the last week! I'm sure these have more bells and whistles then I will ever use, but it will help though, that I now have the largest capacity washer and dryer on the maket....and the most efficient.
(Can you tell I'm proud of myself?)
