Moving Day Number 1

The packing continues. Our formal living room for the last couple of years becomes the packing room (dumping room!) in the weeks prior to Jenna leaving for college. She is moving into an apartment instead of the dorm and obviously requires a lot more "stuff". So, now we have two "dumping rooms". One for Jenna and one for Lauren. But Jenna's stuff is all over. The couch is is in the garage. Her dinette is in the dining room. There are boxes in the hallway. Boxes in the basement. Her room is one big mess. Ugghh!

Today is gets all packed up. We have a trailer attached to the Yukon and also Dad's truck. We are loading today and leaving in the morning. We will move her all in, get everything set and then she will come back and work for a few days before we head back on Saturday to move Lauren in her dorm. Both girls have Cross Country practice starting, so they are in the dorm about 5-6 days earlier than the rest of the university.

Of course, tomorrow it is supposed to be 92. Probably the hottest day of the year for Toledo! I also moved into my 1st apartment in Toledo my junior year, but seemed to have 4 apartments before staying somewhere for awhile...I think I moved every 9 months. I told her she is staying here until Graduation. The location is right and so is the price. She is 1/2 mile from campus and in our old neighborhood. 3 of her friends are in the same complex around the corner and 4 more friends are in another apartment complex right behind theirs. The key here: She only has one roommate! This apartment is not huge, but after having 3 girls in roughly a 14x16 room, this will be heaven! Her own bedroom. 2 closets! A real kitchen with a real refrigerator. And her living room is the size of her old dorm room. I'm happy for her.

Oh, and did I mention a double bed, so Mom can visit?
