Yesss!! The kids were back to school today! Not until ten after a 2 hour delay, but I'll take it! Within 20 minutes of them leaving, I had my oldest clothes on and a paintbrush in my hand. About every 6-9 months, I have to go around and touch up baseboards and door frames and everwhere else that the kids seem to nick and scratch. Our trim is white...the same white everywhere throughout the house, so it is nice that I can go from room to room and touch up. It is still a lengthy and boring job. But, somebodys got to do it, and its usually me! This was on my to-do list for February, so I gotta get moving.
March and Early April is Spring Cleaning time, so that when spring hits, I can be outside....Did I mention I already bought vegetable seeds? So, my to-do list is on my desk and I'm going to stick to it. Tomorrow finish upstairs painting and Friday, (normal) cleaning day.
Another winter project was to put a frame and door at the bottom of our basement steps coming in from the garage. It is the way most of the kids come in and sometimes the adults. When you come down, you see the workshop...with all the electrical wires and boxes and water filters and a lot of junk. So, my Dad was over today and got it framed! I am so excited. It is going to look so nice...to not see the unfinished area of the basement from the finished area of the basement! Yahoo! Another big thing can be crossed off soon!
