The weekend sure flew by! I completed my promised Friday cleaning, only to have Jenna and Lauren arrive home around 5. We all went to dinner together and had fish, everyone that is, except Lauren, who ate grilled cheese :{. When we came home, friends came over and we sat around and talked for a few hours. Saturday was also non-stop. Natalie had birthday pictures and that was followed by some grocery-getting and preparing for my friends to come over.
I love it when we can all go to to Church together, so that was accomplished and promptly followed by socializing with classmates from the Class of '81 at my house. We had such a good time!! I made a pitcher, (ok, 2 pitchers) of Cosmopolitan's complete with the pink sugar rim and mmm, were they good! We mingled and talked and laughed and shared pictures and took some new ones! We drug ourselves out of here to LaPiazza and proceeded to laugh and carry on there! The food was good and the company was better! We are planning a beach party with the husbands and families this summer....can't wait!
I took Jenna and Lauren out shopping for a few necessities yesterday, only to quick stop and get a few groceries at Aldi's and then hurry home to make dinner for all of us including Grandma and Grandpa! We grilled a few steaks...(7!!) and enjoyed some much needed chocolate desert before crashing on the couch about 7:30. Caught some of the Oscars, and even managed a quick dip in the hot tub for those sore muscles, only to fall into bed about 10:30. I think I fell asleep in less than 5 minutes!
The girls are back in Toledo and packing for Myrtle Beach. They leave tomorrow morning. Whew,...I need a few days just to catch up! It sure is nice to have everyone home, but I will admit, it is quite crazy to have 7 big people back in the house....5 kids is one thing, but with the twins now 13 and as tall as me, I noticed my kitchen isn't quite as big as it use to be!!
Well, everyone is actually fighting over TV tonight! We watch so little of it, but the Cavs are playing, The Bachelor wedding is on, and the twins want to watch wrestling....guess what wins?
.....the Cavs!....Go Cleveland!
