Garden time!

It is planting season.  Other than it being pretty windy this week, I have enjoyed being outside, in the sunshine, and yes, In the Dirt!  My knees are hurting, my nails are a mess, my neck sunburned, but the garden is doing great! I have the canteloupe, zuchinni, squash, 15 tomato plants, peppers, onions, beets, spinach, cabbage, basil, potatoes and half of the beans planted!  wheww!!!  I just have a few more beans to plant, and peas.

This week I also planted 24 pots for the patio, driveway and other miscellaneous places I can find to squeeze in some color.  (We better be done with frost!) In addition to mowing twice in five days, we have been outside almost every night until dark.  Tuesday night, I finished, and the sunset was looking to be a good one, so I took a 10 minute break, poured a glass of chardonnay and sat on the patio for the first time this season.  Jonathan brought his homework outside and we enjoyed the first of many more summer evenings to come!
