Isn't it strange?

So, I gave up chocolate and most sweets for Lent. I realized early on that we all need a little sugar every day, so I am not extreme. I have done fairly well. I turn to fruits instead of cookies, maybe a little popcorn or wheat thins at night instead of ice cream. Well, there are days (most!) about 2 or 3 in the afternoon when I am craving chocolate....not a whole bag of candy, mind you, I'd be happy with a "bite size" snickers. Well, isn't it interesting that I don't crave it at all on Sunday when it is ok? Right now there are some chocolate Cadbury eggs in my drawer and it doesn't seem to faze me!! God truly works in mysterious ways!

Well, Natalie had a AAU BB tournament this weekend. This is new for her. She is on a team with girls from Anna, Russia, New Bremen, West Liberty, and Wapak. They try to practice once or twice a week and this was their first time playing together. This tournament had many teams from Shelby County all the way down to Dayton. Yesterday, they played and won all three games. This morning they won again which put them into the Championship game with a team from Dayton. They Won!! Wow, not what I expected for their/her first tournament. We found out that the team we played were made up of all starters from Div. 1 schools in Dayton. Not Bad.

I called Jenna this afternoon. She couldn't talk. She was on the stationary bike. In an air cast. I know. There is a fine line between total devotion and complete stupidity. My choices as her mother? None.
