Movin' in the morning

My idea of getting everyone moving in the morning has been working. My internal alarm goes off around 6:30 to 7 every morning, so yesterday, I ended up with Natalie, Andrew and Lauren with me to church. It was a nice start to the day...even though it ended up being a rainy, cold and damp crummy day. This morning, I got Dan, Lauren and Andrew. Hmm...yes there are a few sleepy heads in our house.

I gave Jenna the benefit of the doubt with her wisdom teeth causing her a little pain, but there should be no excuses for Jonathan. Well, unless you call sore muscles from Lifting an excuse. He is 12, and entering 7th grade, which means Jr. High football. This means lifting 2 days a week. We warned him he would be sore, but he didn't believe us. He told me he couldn't get out of bed in time because his back hurt, and his shoulders, and his stomach, and his arms. I'm sure that will still get worse before it gets better.

Speaking of fall sports, we are in the beginning stages. Jenna and Lauren are already getting their workouts from their Toledo coaches and Natalie didn't even take 3 weeks off after her MAC meet and has started running already. Yesterday was Andrew's first day of CC training. They will both start slow, but before we know it, they will be up to 5 days a week, and swimming daily as their cross training.

The boys had a Travel Team baseball game tonight in Russia. Wow, was it chilly. I almost put the heated seats on for the way home. I am pretty weak when it comes to cold. It was still probably 60, but I was bundled up under blankets and even had my hood up. I am now sitting cozy on the coach and Natalie is sitting outside at the Swim Meet. (???? Is that crazy or what?) Personally, I think 55 degrees is too darn cold for anyone to be swimming outside...or just even sitting outside wet!

We have been getting Lauren ready for her Senior Trip to Panama City, Florida. She leaves this Saturday. I will be much happier next Saturday. She already has been bumped from her flight twice, which required about 3 hours on the phone with Delta. I still don't trust what I see on the internet. I will just feel better when she is back home.

Maybe I'll make some hot chicken noodle soup for Natalie... and some hot chocolate?
