Summer Wisdom

Jenna had her wisdom teeth taken out this morning. All four of them. I feared the worst, but it all went pretty well. We were in the car heading home 1 hour after we walked in the door. I remember my own wisdom teeth removal and know I slept all the way home and most of the day. Jenna was eating mashed potatoes and gravy and noodles for lunch 3 hours later. Other than being pale and a little dizzy, she didn't complain at all.

Because of our nice rain last evening, the kids were happy they didn't have to water today. It takes 2 kids in the front yard and 1-2 of them to do the back. I'm having a hard time finding jobs for them other than their rooms and maybe emptying the dishwasher. I keep thinking they all should have more of a routine. But, is that more me or for them? I know we need a balance from all out freedom to rigid schedules and To-do lists....I can't seem to find that this summer. If anyone has suggestions, please let me know.

Meanwhile, the rule is still up and breakfast by 9 or you don't eat til noon. Maybe we will just all go to church every morning at 8 to start our day off right...actually, that is the best idea I've had all summer. Oh, and we'll bike in too! Good job, Julie....I like this....

(I'll let you know tomorrow how it goes.)
