Summer Color

Ok, so, I didn't get to posting pictures 5 days ago like I said I would. Sorry! Where are these weeks going? What did I even do this week? It all seems to blur so fast. I know that the boys were runners-up in their rec leaugue tournament and their trophies are still sitting in the back seat of the Yukon. I know that Natalie was pretty exhausted after girls scout camp and then headed directly to Columbus to play BB for 4-5 hours and I know that I hardly saw Jenna and Lauren the entire week!

I know that swim team is over. Yahoo! I so love that Andrew and Natalie are still in it because it is so good for them, but I would rather watch any sport other than swimming. Sorry guys! We had Championships today and so another summer sport is out of the way. (Can you believe that we had 67 degrees today with a cold drizzle in the middle of July?) It was very chilly for those kids!

We can now concentrate on running, running running. Oh, and Football, for Jonathan.

The twins are camping with a friend and their family for the weekend. Not roughing it or anything on tents and stuff, but in a motorhome....I hope they are behaving. I know how close of quarters a camper can be now with a big family, much less with kids that aren't yours!!!

I promised some pictures. If I must say so myself, my flowers are doing well. This is the front of the house.

There is a mixture of perennials and annuals, but nothing is quite as showy as mixed color impatiens. This gets the morning sun, so most days it requires a small watering. When I'm satisfied, is when that color is obvious and glaring from the road. It is almost there!

This is one view of the patio garden. It is amazing right now. I have 11 different perennials with coral impatiens and blue victoria salvias. It is striking and bright. This, because of the afternoon sun, needs watering daily. You can see a few of my 42 pots that are also scattered across the front, back, side yards and driveway.

This is looking the opposite direction towards the playhouse. There are gorgeous flowers spilling out of the window boxes on the playhouse, but hidden. There is so much more, but photos really don't tell the real picture. Please feel free to stop over and take a closer look! Really! I'll give you the grand tour, including the vegetable gardens and fruit orchard.

See you all soon!
