Saturday, we headed to Tiffin for the Carnival. Not just any carnival, but one where there are thousands of runners and thousands more spectators. Andrew ran in his sister's footsteps. (only a little faster!) He won the Division 3 Jr High race with a 11:29. It was a great day for a race and a great day for a win. This is a great place to win a trophy too. They actually put your name on the plaque of the trophy while you wait.

I have been starting the "end of summer" tasks. I started switching my closet today. We took the Launch Pod out and deflated all the floaties and pond toys. The baseball equipment was put up in the attic. I condensed some of my pots and will slowly get rid of my annuals as they start to yellow and look bad. It sure didn't feel like fall today, though! It was a wonderfully warm and sunny 85 degrees. I don't want to admit this, because I absolutely love summer and the heat and all that comes with it, but I'm actually looking forward to one of those days where I can make some homemade soup & bread and bake a pie and not have everyone complain because it makes the kitchen 90 degrees.
I know, I know, .... it will be here soon enough.
