Well, It is Sunday morning at 7:09 a.m. I know...what the heck am I doing up? I'm using this extra hour today to write my blog. I'm pretty much on auto pilot when it comes to sleep, so I had my eight hours, and now I'm ready to be up!
I have been traveling a bit for this new job. It took me to Kenton, Spencerville and St. Marys last week and to Huber Heights, Piqua, Troy and Coldwater this week. I have to be at my location by 8:30, so I leave at different times. This past week, I watched the sunrise...what a wonderful way to start the day. I actually turn off the music on my morning commute and use the silence time for some reflection and prayers....very relaxing and a great way to start the day.
The twins have had a couple weeks off between sports. They start up again with 7th grade BB practice tomorrow. Natalie, of course, is still running. We were at the Regional meet yesterday in Troy and came home with the 1st place trophy. It was supposed to be a preview for next weekend. The 8 top ranked teams in Division 3 were competing against each other, with only 4 moving on to State next weekend. Versailles and Seneca East, both did not qualify their teams for State. That was a shocker, as those two teams also have a great post season tradition. We did not run our best times (at all) but ran in a great pack. It will be a fun week for these girls. They have fairly easy practices and will leave Friday from school with a send off complete with pep rally and fire trucks escorting them out of town.
Scioto Downs here we come!! (Saturday 11:05!)
Well, the sun is now shining and there is a little frost on the pumpkins. Halloween was pretty quiet at our house. Natalie had a few friends over (is 15 a few?) and the boys had a party at a classmates house. I watched football, and Dan, as usual, was on his computer most of the evening.
No plans for today...hmmmm...does that mean work or play?
