Spring Journeys....

Well, I was on a roll for a few weeks, posting quite a few times in a weeks time.  I haven't been lazy.  In fact, just too busy! To quickly summarize, 2 weekends ago we were in the girls basketball tourney action full force and then last week I was in Toledo checking on Jenna and Lauren for two days, and since then Track season has officially started.  That, along with my highly motivated spring cleaning schedule has kept me the busiest I have been in a while!

Lauren has been on crutches for almost three weeks now.  I had to check it out for myself.  Ugghh.  Supposedly, it was better the day before I was there, but all I saw was a very swollen foot.  No definition of an ankle at all.  She had an MRI after I left and it showed three seperate tendons pretty badly torn.  She is on crutches yet today, but now with a boot.  Hopefully a few more days of that and she can ditch the crutches.  I feel bad for her.  She can not go the cafeteria herself, and getting around campus, especially in the pouring rain is not fun.  Lauren, I give you credit.  You sure are keeping a great attitude about the whole thing!

As in basketball, we have junior high meets along with high school, just like last year.  Kind of fun to watch the boys...now I just have to get use to a whole new set of boys' "good times".  They are all having fun.  We were at the Girls' Versailles Invite on Saturday and a junior high meet last night and St. Marys for Natalie tonight.  We have a small break...no meets til after Easter.

Seven rooms down, 4 to go! Natalie's room gets hit tomorrow. I still am on a pretty tight schedule.  This house needs to be down before that Garage Sale week hits.  (yuckk....40 plus hours to get ready for that...)
I keep saying "this is my last year" and yet I'm back again.  I'm sure you will be hearing more of that in the coming weeks.

Trying to keep this Holy Week in perspective.  Lent does really fly by and even though I always have such high hopes, I always feel less than perfect when we are at the end of the journey. I'm trying to make up for lost time in these few short days left.

Maybe if someone says a quiet prayer after reading this, I will have helped someone else on their Lenten journey too....
